i have started it now.  installing an os is still one of the things i love most about my work

Got 7048 installed and haven't had much time to look at it yet due to my hectic schedule this week but just some quick clicks around and man does it seem better than the beta. Tons of bug fixes, new icons!, awesome new themes (betta theme is gone cuz this is no longer the beta), it just looks beautiful. I was so excited to see it installed.

I just dont know how to say what I am feeling about 7. I just wish it had come sooner, but now that I have it who cares? lol

Sadly, no. I did not see the beta fishy when I finished the install, perhaps it is still hidden in the Windows Wallpapers, I didn't get much of a good look through the wallpapers.  But the default wallpaper is now a field of lavender instead of the beta fish, I assumed this was because Microsoft has moved past the beta stage and is now in the RC branch.

If someone finds the fish, please let me know.

Well.. I did see a video on youtube with someone using Build 7048 and he had Beta Fishy.

Yeah, it might still be in the wallpapers and just not the default. idk, my install finished while i was sleeping and i didn't get much time to look around.  The guy on youtube also could have just downloaded that wallpaper, cuz i'm sure its somewhere out there for download. dk.

OK, don't shout, because I am new at this...do I just add this to W7 as an update, or is it a totally new OS?

you should be able to upgrade from build 7000 x64 to 7048 x64 and keep files, settings and programs;
