MWC 2014: Mozilla Set To Launch $25 Firefox Smartphone In The Near Future

Mozilla's ambition to bring cheap, Firefox OS powered Smartphones to emerging markets got a major shot in the arm with a new licensing deal announced today where the company will make use Spreadtrum's new chipset (a fabless Chinese OEM) in their upcoming $25 handset. The device will have a 3.5-inch HVGA (480 x 320) display, 2 MP rear camera, 1 GB LPDDR1 RAM, 2 GB internal storage and run Firefox OS.
