As the title says, you will come to know how to change the size of the taskbar (with button) size easily without playing with the registry files.

Once you install Windows 7 theme in Vista, you will get the below look. That is, you won’t get larger buttons like in Windows 7.

Here is a small utility that helps you to make it like Windows 7. Taskbar utility is a small utility which allows increase/decrease the taskbar size without any woes. I have given the download link at the end of this post. Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) is required to run Taskbar Resize Tool. So, you need to install this small program before running Taskbar Resize Tool. Below are the step-by-steps:
1. Download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008.
2. Download and extract the Taskbar Resize Tool to Desktop.
3. Open “en-US” folder and run Taskbar Resize.exe file.
4. Set the Size of the Taskbar using the moving bar.

5. Press Apply button to see the change.
You can also use the Auto startup feature of Taskbar Resize Tool to run the program at startup only. You can look out for themes which give the same look without this trick as well.
