« on: May 10, 2014, 12:24:58 AM »
The Lenovo ThinkPad 10 is a Windows tablet with a full HD display, one of the fastest Intel Atom processors available, support for digital pen input, and up to 128GB of built-in storage.

While Lenovo’s not actually selling the tablet yet, leaks have been popping up for weeks and there’s not much we don’t know about the ThinkPad 10 at this point. Now we may even know the launch date: May 14th.

The latest version of Lenovo’s ThinkPad Tablets and Convertibles product specification reference guide (PDF link) lists a May 14th announce date for several configurations of the ThinkPad 10.

The document confirms that the tablet’s features will include:

• 10.1 inch, 1920 x 1200 pixel displays with 170 degree viewing angles

Intel Atom Z3795 quad-core processors with Intel HD 4600 graphics

• Support for finger and digital pen input

• Optional keyboard or touch cases

• 1 USB 2.0 port, 1 micro HDMI port, 1 headset jack, and 1 micro SIM card slot on
select models

• 802.11n a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, and optional LTE/HSPA/GSM/GPRS/EDGE

• 8MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera

• 33Whr battery

Enterprise-friendly features include optional TPM security and fingerprint sensors, and Lenovo will offer models with either Windows 8.1 or Windows 8.1 Pro software.

While the platform supports up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and 64-bit software, it looks like most of the models that will be available at launch will feature 2GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and 32-bit versions of Windows.

The tablet’s expected to offer up to 10 hours of run time while playing videos, up to 110 hours of battery life while playing MP3 music with the screen off, and up to 26 days of standby time.

It has an aluminum frame and a WiFi-only model measures 10.1″ x 7″ x 0.35″ and weighs just over 1.3 pounds.
