There is no doubt that Windows 10 Mobile could use a lot of work in terms of features and option, as well as the user interface. And they are set to arrive once the desktop version of Windows 10 ships.
Sure, the last couple of preview builds of the mobile OS have been polished releases.
But good news is that the software titan plans even more such tweaks, significant enhancements, to the mobile platform starting next month — once Windows 10 proper hits the RTM milestone and launches for Windows Insiders and general users.
This way, some of the engineers working on the PC version can switch development focus to the mobile version, and this added contribution will result in improvements implemented at a faster pace.
This was explained by Greg Sullivan, the communications director for Microsoft Devices.
Essentially, Redmond plans to shift attention to its mobile platform once the desktop version is out in the wild. This probably is one of the reasons behind the delayed launch of Windows 10 Mobile, which by most counts is set for towards the end of the year.
The launch, however, will take a while, and the rollout is, once again, expected to be a staggered one.
