Surface 3 with 4G LTE launches for business tomorrow
« on: July 03, 2015, 04:08:24 AM »
Microsoft’s most current tablet model, the Surface 3, has made a name for itself in the mobile device sphere. The touch-based device has a 10-inch, 1920 x 1280 pixel display screen with an Intel Atom Cherry Trail processor, 2 or 4 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of storage. What it doesn’t have is mobile broadband.

Until now.

The company announced that the Surface 3 with 4G LTE will launch for businesses in Germany and the UK tomorrow with subsequent launches in France and Spain. The 4G LTE enabled tablet has been available in Japan for two weeks through Y!Mobile.

Microsoft will then roll out the new device to retailers and commercial sellers in France, Germany, the UK, and the US in the coming weeks.

Just like the Wi-Fi models, the Surface 3 with 4G LTE will be available with 2 or 4 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of storage. Both will come stocked with Windows 8.1 with the ability to upgrade to Windows 10 for free when it launches.

And, like the Wi-Fi model, this comes with one-year subscription to Office 365 Personal and is compatible with the Surface 3 Type Cover and S Pen, which are sold separately. There is no official information as to the price of the 4G LTE device at this time.
