Microsoft Might Launch An Even Larger Surface Tablet
« on: July 21, 2015, 04:45:47 PM »
Apparently, 12 inches is so last year, now that Apple is preparing a larger iPad. There is talk that Microsoft might be planning a new addition to its tablet lineup, one with an even bigger display size.

The report comes from a rather sketchy source, but unnamed sources claim that the Redmond based technology giant is at least considering such a move — and working on a tablet with a screen a little larger than 12 inches.

This successor the Surface Pro 3 would be much better equipped to replace laptops, as Microsoft so often reminds us in marketing for their flagship tablet.

Specifics are unavailable right now, meaning this report should be taken with a punch of salt.

Or a few tablespoons thereof.

Then again, the company is keen on expanding its influence in the hardware industry, and premium tablets like these are perhaps the best way to target the lucrative business sector. Which Microsoft has done well until now, with the Surface Pro 3, it must be said.

Previous reports on the matter have hinted that Redmond might go on with such a move, but we have had nothing in terms of official confirmation.

Even the various company representatives have been quiet on this.

Surface Pro 4, as this tablet is expected to be called, will most likely launch towards the end of the year, running Windows 10 out of the box.
