Today, so to say. Maybe even Friday if Microsoft feels like. But there are signs that Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.17 is tracking for launch next.
This week.
Redmond is expected to launch the final RTM version of its new mobile OS (even though the company prefers not to us the term RTM, release to manufacturing) this week. With planned rollouts to all compatible mobile devices to follow soon after.
And now some more information on this new version has emerged.
Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.17 has recently been spotted in logs, with details suggesting that it was compiled on November 21.
So basically, not only is this the version that Insiders are expected to receive very soon, but this is actually the one that might be shipped to the public.
The company obviously rolled out Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.11 to Windows Insiders back in November, and every believed that this was the final RTM version of the mobile operating system that will be shipped to general users.
Apparently not.
The software giant needed some more time to squash bugs and introduce performance improvements, so here we are at version .17, which could actually be the one.
Microsoft doesn’t usually release builds on Mondays and Fridays, or the weekends, so if it is coming, it’s coming later today.
Or next week, if Redmond needs more time.
