Polish away! Those of you that have been keeping an eye out for the next Windows 10 build to make its way out for Insiders, Microsoft just obliged and released a couple of new version.

For both PCs and phones.

However, compared to the last version, Windows 10 build 14366 and Windows 10 Mobile build 14364 are not high on new features. Instead the focus is on fixing the reported bugs and ensuring that the performance and usability is great.

In fact, as Dona Sarkar, the new head of the Windows Insider program has revealed these past couple of days, Microsoft wants to release polished and refined versions for users from here on. So that they can test these builds ahead of the actual launch of the Anniversary Update next month.

The important thing here is that the company has not encountered or discovered a major bug, and work on the Anniversary Update continues at a steady pace.

Which brings us to the June Bug Bash that the software titan has just kicked off:

Quote
“Over the course of the next 4 days, we will also be publishing multiple Quests inside Feedback Hub that will highlight different areas of the product each day. We will be looking for feedback on each Quest, but you can also just use all the Windows 10 features and apps you are most passionate about. The goal is just to work together now through Sunday to get the best bug reports possible! We are cycling the Quests over the week but will be bringing them all back over the weekend for more feedback.”
If you want to participate in the initiative, then head on over to the Feedback Hub for all the details on the Bug Bash and provide Microsoft with feedback on what is to the first wave of the Redstone refresh.

Word is that Microsoft wants to get this new version out before the July 29 cutoff date of the free Windows 10 upgrade promotion offer, so as to convince more users to upgrade.

Expect Insiders to get the final bits a bit (pun always intended) earlier.
