Hope you’re ready for some weekend testing, as Microsoft has just released Windows 10 Creators Update build 15055 to Insiders that have enrolled their devices in the Fast ring of the program.
These new preview versions come two days after the launch of build 15051 for mobile, making this the second week in a row when two Fast ring builds were offered to Insiders.
It’s the first for PCs, though.
Unless you are counting build 15048 that was made available to the Slow ring on Wednesday.
Anyway, as expected, there are no new features in this release — no new front-facing features, that is to say. The focus for Microsoft lately has been solely on fixing bugs and optimizing performance at the moment, in order to make the Creators Update ready for launch in early April.
In any case, you can catch up on what got fixed and improved, and what did not here.
Redmond is also expected to sign off the final RTM build for Creators Update, or Redstone 2, this month.
Which means that from now until the launch of this new version of the operating system, testers can expect to see more frequent Fast ring releases, which have typically been once a week. These versions are also rather quickly being made available to Slow ring users, too.
