Cannot create new folder in start menu
« on: March 11, 2009, 11:37:50 PM »
Well actually I can create a new folder in the start menu, I just can't rename them for some reason. Every time I try to rename the folder with some other than "New Folder," I'll have the error:

The action can't be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program

Close the folder or file and try again.

How do I get around this issue? I tried creating and naming a new folder on the desktop and moving it to the start menu folder, but I obtain the same above error. Would be nice if I can somehow reorganize my start menu....

since this is a beta, the traditional way may not work so you need to try different appraoches. you might give this a try

go into user accounts,
disable the UAC,
make your changes, folders, renaming, moving, etc, changes to start menu, send to, whatever.
When finished, go back to the user accounts and re-enable the UAC.
