Need info about Build 7048 x64 installation

Hi folks,

Let me give a little background first. 

My machine is Intel Core 2 Duo (E8400) 3.0 GHz with 4GB DDR2 RAM. 
I am currently running Build 7048 x86 (32-bit version) on 150GB OS partition of a 1TB hardisk.  Rest of the 850GB is my media partition. I upgraded the RAM to 8GB and would like to switch to 64-Bit version of W7 Build 7048.  I know that I will have to do a clean install on the 150GB OS partition, my question is; would it affect my 850GB media partition that was created by W7 Build 7000 (32-Bit version)?

I hope my question is clear and someone can help.
