With hot new online games releasing and a host of new features being added to Xbox Live, Microsoft is giving all Xbox Live Silver users a chance to enjoy the perks of Gold membership, this Friday through Monday.
The Xbox Live service may be pulling in record numbers of users, but the company wants to draw even more gamers into the online gaming world, as Microsoft has announced that starting this at Friday at 9AM PST, all Xbox Live Silver users will have three days of complete Gold privileges. With the addition of Facebook, Twittter, and Last.fm compatibility, as well as the recent launches of a handful of popular online shooters, including Modern Warfare 2, Left 4 Dead 2, and Borderlands, there's no better time to show off what Xbox Live has to offer.
If you live across the pond, don't fret, as Europe will have its own free period the next week, for a longer stretch of time, as all Xbox Live users will go gold from November 25 to November 30. You can find out more about both deals on Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb's official blog. Xbox owners--if you haven't signed up for an Xbox Live membership, hurry up and sign up here so you can get your 41 cents worth of free online gaming!
