Breaking News RC1 = Build 7100

April 30, 2009...Microsoft is embarrassed again with a repeat of Januarys fiasco at both MSDN and Technet crashing early today.  As leaks about the much awaited Release Candidate being to surface it appears it is nothing more than the Leaked Build from last week Build 7100. 

Images that have been seen are identical to those of for mentioned build.  RC1 x64 has bugs according to some users who have reported BSOD, once again instilling the most important word in computer jargon..BACKUP.  So once you get your hands on RC1 be it today, tomorrow, or May 5, perform a complete backup of your entire system before doing a clean install.

When the Release is available, here is the data you will need to assure accuracy of your download.

… but we are actively working on some changes to improve the site availability.
If you have been able to grab the bits, you can come back later for a key (you have 30 days). If you claimed a beta key and wrote it down or exported it, it is the SAME key. You have 10 activations (on a single machine) for the Windows 7 beta/rc key.

What build is the RC riso? I know people are saying it's build 7100, but I thought the RC was due to expire on the 1st June 2010. My build 7100 says 2nd March 2010.

Also, is the virtual XP mode included with the RC? Really looking forward to trying that out.

The RC is Build 7100 but some Bugs are out, the rest is exact the same.

With the official release of Windows 7 RC1 now out, what was reported on this forum yesterday as appearing to be identicial to Build 7100 is and was correct.  The Release Candidate IS Build 7100!
