Wireless connection help part 2
« on: May 09, 2009, 05:20:31 PM »
Javajolt or anyone else,

Solved my wireless Windows 7 connection problem but there is still a glitch I would like to solve. I get a good connection with the signal bars showing full strength. If I click on the signal bars to show the available networks the signal bars in the available networks box turns to a red X, for my network, and the signal bars on the desktop taskbar get grayed out and a red X appears on the grayed out bars. The interesting thing is that the connection is still good.

Any Thoughts,

Dale

Hi,
Sounds like a serious Bug,
or a wrong installed driver,
or a incompatible driver.

But the good news is that it is functioning so perhaps when at May 12 the updates come available that there might be a Bug-fix for this problem aswell!

See my article about the upcoming updates:

I called Lynksys and confirmed I have the correct, and latest, driver installed. They said it must be an OS glitch. Of course they are going to say that anyway if they don't know the answer. Anyway, The connection works fine, the red X just bugs me and I feel compelled to find out why. I'll have to drop it for now I guess.

Thanks,
