3G and iPod Touch 2G with Sn0wbreeze 1.8

Users with Windows machine can now download SnOwbreeze 1.8. Users of iPod touch 3G, iPhone 3GS with old bootrom that has already been jailbroken on iOS 4.x and iPod touch 2G (non MC model) can follow the steps given below.

1. Download iTunes and install.
2. As soon as you run iTunes, start sync in your iPhone with PC mode as this will back up all the necessary data.
3. Download SnOwbreeze 1.8 (Windows only) and iOS 4.1.
4. Start SnOwbreeze 1.8 and check on ‘Simple Mode’.
5. Click the Browse button and select correct iOS 4.1 .ipsw file.
6. Ensure that a green tick appears as an indication that .ipsw file is verified.
7. Click Next. A pop up appears “Do you want to activate your iPhone?”. Say “NO”.
8. A green bar now runs which is an indication that its creating jailbroken .ipsw files for your device.
9. Now, its time to restore your iPhone. Click sidebar and hold the “Shift key” and click “Restore” button in the iTunes.
10. Now release the “Shift” button and select .ipsw files and “Open”.
11. Just leave your phone as it is and do nothing. Again a green bar runs and device gets restarted automatically.
12. Once the device is switched ON ensure that you restore all your backup data.

That’s it. Your device is now jailbroken running on iOS 4.1.
