How do I remove Internet Explorer 10 from Windows 8
« on: October 18, 2011, 04:57:38 PM »

Internet Explorer 10 will be the browser for Windows 8.

Having seen it myself, I have to say that Internet Explorer 10 is the FIRST Microsoft browser that I could see using every day.

It’s slick, beautiful, quick and runs really efficiently.

I know that a lot of people are philosophically sworn off Internet Explorer and would rather remove IE 10 and use Google Chrome, Firefox, or Opera.

Here are the steps for removing the default Internet Explorer 10 browser from your Windows 8 PC:

Step 1: Open Run dialog box. Use Windows + R keys to launch Run dialog. In the Run dialog, type appwiz.cpl and press Enter key to open Programs and Features window.

Step 2: In the left pane of Programs and Features, click on Turn Windows feature on or off.

Step 3: In Windows Features dialog, you will see a list of features included in Windows. Select Internet Explorer 10 entry and untick the box.

If you are prompted with:

“Turning off Internet Explorer 10 might affect other Windows features and programs installed on your computer, including default settings. Do you want to continue?”

Click Yes and then click Ok button to apply the changes.

Step 4: You will be asked to restart the PC. Restart your PC to remove Internet Explorer 10 browser from your Windows 8 PC.
