For what we all know Microsoft is trying hard to make Windows 8 energy efficient as well as trying to boost the over all browsing experience of users with Metro IE10 which won’t support any sorts of plugins, for those who want to use them would have to switch to the desktop version of the same.

Adobe which discontinued the development of Flash any further for the Mobile Browsers, while concentrating on the development in Adobe Air and flash for the desktop platforms, while Microsoft is trying to do away with the plugin usage Adobe is still planning to bring Flash to Windows 8, according to their recently released roadmap.

Microsoft is currently developing Windows 8, which is the next generation of its Windows operating system. The operating system includes a number of different user interface configurations (desktop and metro) and targeted processor chipsets (x86/64 and ARM), which create a number of different development targets for the Flash runtimes.
Adobe is currently working closely with Microsoft to finalize details around supported configurations for Flash Player and Adobe AIR on Windows 8. This document will be updated once this has been finalized and release schedules are available.
So the game is still not over as far as Flash for Windows goes.  Picture will be more clear after the finalizing from both Microsoft and Adobe,  but as of now it pretty much looks like Flash is here to stay.
