I have installed Windows developer preview in a seperate partition with Dual Boot of Windows 7 and Windows Developer Preview. I have been searching the internet for ways of uninstalling the Windows Developer Preview. The discussions are mostly about uninsatlling Windows Developer Preview and reinstalling Windows 7. Nothing about uninstalling Windows Developer Preview in a separate partition.

I reinstalled my Windows Developer Preview some time back because of some bugs. It installed well and transferred all the old windows files to a new folder windowsold.

I think this would be the best way of installing  Windows Consumer Preview. I install it in the same partition that has Windows Developer Preview. It would be installed and the old Windows Developer Preview files would be transferred to windowsold, which could be deleted later.

Would like to hear from our technical experts.

Thank You.

May be I could format the partition containing Windows Developer Preview in Windows 7 and then install Windows Consumer Preview in it. But I am afraid about tampering with the MBR.

This has become irrelevant as there is an upgrade option in the Windows8 Consumer Review.
