What the geeks are saying
« on: March 02, 2012, 05:24:45 PM »
After getting a good look at this new windows 8 build most agree, Microsoft may of just built another Vista. Don't want or need a tablet or iphone on my desktop. Now if Microsoft was smart, they would offer the option at boot up to either use this new interface, or use the classic interface like Xp and Windows 7.  Maybe even offer to make it your default boot. It would give people a chance to play with the new interface with the ability to use the interface many are used to using on the desktop. Of course Microsoft will never do that. Guess we will just have to see how the release after this one goes.

I think it too early to write the whole OS off , I,m having fun playing around with it and its a bit buggy but it is only at beta stage "Consumer Preview"
I think it's was always going to be hard for Microsoft to bring any new OS out after the massive success they have had with Windows 7
Also the Metro interface is starting to grow on me after hating it at first.

It just takes time to get used to, but there are some neat features that have been added.  You really have to watch how it is used on a touch screen device to appreciate what Microsoft is trying to do with this OS...  8)
