In Windows 8, you can also configure how the apps on your Operating System share data.

You can get to this from the Charms > Settings > More PC Settings > Search

You can show a list of what you share the most often and determine how many items that list will have on it.

You can also show the most frequently searched apps at the top of the list.

Finally, it shows you what applications you are using to share information.
