Inside Windows 8: PC Settings – Devices

In Windows 8, you can add devices to your computer or tablet

You can get to this from the Charms > Settings > More PC Settings > Devices



It shows a bunch of devices that are already connected to your device with an option to add a device.

In addition, there's a slightly confusing section for "Metered Internet Connections"

It says "Download device software on metered connections. Turn this off to help prevent extra charges"

Now metered connections are connections that have charges associated with them (like roaming charges etc). I think this option is trying to save the consumer money but there's no clear help prompt to explain what that is.

Maybe it will have more intuitive prompts at RTM.
