Windows 8.1 just like Windows 8 includes an awesome option to let you see the app sizes of all the Modern-UI apps which have been installed on your PC. This option lets you determine how much size an app is taking and it can also be helpful while trying to manage the disk space on your PC.
 
If you are one of the people who are worried about the disk space being used by your Modern-UI apps then, this option is best for you. Seeing all your app sizes from your Windows 8.1 PC is very easy and takes seconds
 
Just follow the instructions below to see the app sizes of all installed Modern-UI apps on your Windows 8.1 PC.
 
Instructions:
 
 • First of all, open up PC Settings by swiping from right and selecting ‘Settings’ or pressing ‘Windows key + I’. Your Charm Settings will open.

 • Here press ‘Change PC settings’ at the bottom of the Charm Bar.



 • Your PC Settings app will open. Here navigate to ‘Search & apps’ > ‘App sizes’.
 
• In ‘App sizes’ section, you would be showed the free space on your Windows installation partition and the names and sizes of all the installed Modern-UI apps would be showed there as well.

Tip: All the apps are sorted by size and apps with larger sizes would be showed on top.
 
Note: The apps installed on your user account are showed here while the apps from other user accounts won’t be listed here.



 • Here you would be able to determine which app is taking how much size and the app(s) can also be uninstalled from there by pressing the name and pressing ‘Uninstall’ button.
 
 • You would be asked to confirm to uninstall the apps and its removal from your PC or all your devices.



 • Pressing ‘Uninstall’ button in the pop-up will uninstall the app permanently from your PC.
