Hi!

I am trying to install Windows 7 Build 7048. (My computer runs both 32/64 bit OS's I found on the manufacturer site) and when I put A completely blank dik in the drive. The Autoplay wont comeup asking me how I want to use the disc. The Disk tray reads both CD's and DVD's. Because when I go into computer while the dic is in the tray, computer freezes up. So can you either help me.

A: Fix the problem
-or-
B: Get an alternative to Daemon Tools WITHOUT AN SPTD INSTALLER.

Please Help!

Thanks.

i have had similar issues with multiple operating systems, and it sounds like there might be a problem with your actual dvd rom drive. some of the older drives will have issues, but i cannot be sure this is your problem. either way i know for a fact that UltraISO Premium works well in Windows 7, you can use this program to mount the image or if your download was like mine you should get all the files of the 7048 install disc in a folder and should just be able to click and run the setup.exe file without burning or mounting any image. but REMEMBER a 64 bit OS can not start the installation from within a 32 bit OS. You will need to run the setup.exe file from within a 64 bit Windows OS or burn the files to a disc and boot from the disc.

Hope this helps some,

first is turn off the computer....
open the case and unplug the cable to the CD-DVD drive.
reboot the computer and make sure it does not show that CD-DVD .
turnoff the computer
replace the cable to the CD-DVD drive and reboot.
this should solve the problem.
let me know is NO then i have other things to try... but this method usually fixed any CD-DVD drive problem.
The only STUPID Question is the one you never asked.
