Microsoft, the world-famous software giant, is rumored to be working on the next version of the world's most popular operating system – Windows. The next version of the popular OS is obviously believed to be called Windows 9. The biggest rumor is that Microsoft is planning to adapt the next version of Windows and Windows Phone to Android apps. In particular, the focus is on Windows Phone. Apparently, if the plan is a success, the sales of Windows-powered mobile devices will skyrocket.
Still, some experts say that this idea is dangerous to Microsoft's mobile business since the Android market may affect Windows Phone OS itself. Anyway, the plan is said to be implemented no sooner than 2015 when Windows 9 is released.
April is believed to be the first month when Microsoft is planning to release first major updates for the existing version of Windows Phone. This is when the situation will become more or less clear. Until then, it is too premature to make certain conclusions.
Meanwhile, Microsoft's stock is rallying within a price range while trying to consolidate after the rally seen in Q4 2013. At this point, the price is fluctuating around $37,62 per share.
