Today at Apple's event, Apple announced two iPhone models. the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. These 2 models have different screen sizes, a better camera and the latest version of iOS, iOS 8.
The iPhone 6 has new features to it's camera and features that will improve battery life and voice calling. The iPhone 6 will enable you to make calls over 4G LTE and calls over WIFI.
You'll be able to pre-oder the iPhone 6 and the 6 Plus starting from September 12th and the phones will be released on September 19th.

http://www.apple.com/iphone/They also announced a service called Apple Pay which will allow you to use your phone as a digital wallet. You'll be able to make payments using your iPhone and store all your credit cards.
Next in the event, Tim Cook said "There is one more thing!" and he announced a product that will be released in 2015 and it was the Apple Watch. The Apple Watch has a new way to control your device using the wheel on the right hand side. The Apple Watch powers iOS 8 and the Golden Master version has been seeded to developers.
iOS 8 will be launched a few days earlier than the iPhone 6 launch, September 17th.
