Windows 10 Could Enjoy The Same Success As Windows 7
« on: December 23, 2014, 03:03:26 AM »
The comparisons are already in! Industry sources have chimed on this before, comparing just how Windows 10 could be as successful as Windows 7, currently the most used OS in the world.

But now analysts are also in on the same feeling.

Microsoft’s modern operating system is still a work in progress as the time of this writing, but the whole world, it seems, is excited about this new version of Windows — thanks in no small part to how it tries to fix many of the annoyances users recorded in the original modern Windows 8.

The more interesting bit is that companies are also showing interest in Windows 10, lending credence to the theory that the new OS might perform really well on the market once it launches next year.

This is what Pacific Crest and Microsoft analyst Brendan Barnicle wrote in his note to investors, claiming that the new operating system could enjoy the same success as Windows 7, which, right now, still finds itself installed on well over half the desktop computers around the globe.

A selection from what he said:

Quote
“Microsoft saw relatively weak adoption of Windows 8, but early reviews are encouraging for Windows 10. The Windows 10 upgrade cycle could be like Windows 7. While we believe it will not be as strong an upgrade cycle as the XP expiration cycle, Windows 10 could provide upside to our F2016 D&C licensing revenue estimates, which are currently modeled to be flat.”
So basically, the disappointing sales performance of Windows 8 could well be a thing of the past, by the time Windows 10 sees daylight, and this could only mean great things for the ecosystem.

Not just desktop, of course, but tablets and smartphones too.

Now only if we can get a confirmation regarding what Microsoft intends to call its next mobile OS!

Microsoft can keep hoping but i really doubt it, going RTM shortly and nothing they have released is even close to being GA.
Thousands of Window 7 and 8/8.1 game will not play in 10 (major FU) - forced upgrades, another MAJOR FU, i can remember too many
Failure to REBOOT after, Failure to get Internet after, Corrupt HDDs after.  and the list goes on an on and on. and many of the ERRORS seen
go all the way back to XP and beyond.  so  unless the GA goes 100% TECH  to learn to RESTORE from a IMAGE,  then you need a better HOW TO BACKUP
 than some
shi**y cloud.

The only STUPID Question is the one you never asked.
