A neat little refresh of the Microsoft homepage is now live. The company introduced a modern design for its website over the weekend, in preparation for Windows 10, of course.

We talked about it here last week.

The site now uses bold, large images along with a grid style layout that is fully responsive, making it easier for users to find whatever content they are looking for on whatever device they are using. There is also a dedicated in-page navigation bar.

Complete with a clean, modern design to it.

Take a look:

Below the large image are titles highlighting the different products, services and features that Microsoft offers, grouped by their target audiences of Home and Work.

Microsoft also makes it a point to showcase how women are having an impact on the world of computing and technology — and this is like a refresh within a refresh, considering just how much male dominated this particular field is.

Anyway, it appears that Microsoft.com is very much the first website that Redmond will redesign, as the company did something similar at the time Windows 8 launched.

Expect similar uplifts to be announced soon.

And, of course, you can take a look at this new website at this link.
