Microsoft Working On A 14-Inch Tablet, Rumors Say
« on: March 10, 2015, 04:52:27 AM »
That Microsoft is preparing some new tablets to refresh the Surface lineup is not a hidden secret, but there is speculation that the company might be planning new tablets.

Rumors now claim that Redmond will not only roll out a real successor to the Surface Pro 3 in the form of a 12-inch slate, but a 14-inch variant is also on the cards — this one is being designed to help the company better tackle the laptop market.

Nothing out of the ordinary, as Microsoft has, on numerous occasions, promoted the Surface Pro 3 as the perfect laptop replacement.

Particularly to Apple customers, trying to convince them to drop their MacBook devices in favor of its brand new tablet. This time around the company might do things a little differently, but the strategy remains the same.

These two devices both will feature the same 2160 x 1440 pixel resolution screens, but the different screen sizes is sure to better help Microsoft make some more inroads into the notebook domain.

For all its design and performance splendor, the 12-inch Surface Pro 3 still feels a bit cramped when it comes to screen real estate.

Goes without saying that both these new tablets will come with Windows 10, so a release date around when the new operating system launches is a very good bet.

Worth a mention that these are all very early rumors for now, and we have not had an official confirmation from Microsoft or a benchmark sighting or any sorts to verify these.

But they’ll do.
