Leaked Windows 10 Screenshots Reveals Aero Like Transparency
« on: April 29, 2015, 02:55:00 AM »
The Aero user interface made popular in Windows 7 may be part of history, but it seems that Microsoft is bringing a similar look to Windows 10, as a couple of new screenshots reveal.

Millions still loved this feature, the glassy look, and many users voiced their discontent after it was removed in Windows 8. And keeping in mind the user feedback that Redmond is collecting for its new operating system, it comes as no surprise that something like this is in development now.

This transparent effect is one of the most requested features, after all.

And as these screenshots published by ITHome show, the new transparency effect for the Start Menu in Windows 10 build 10102 clearly has some shades of the Aero UI.

As you can see, the level of transparency in the Start Menu has increased from previous builds, and it also gets a few handy tweaks like new resizing options that make it easy to fit the Start Menu on various screen sizes.

Microsoft might even allow users to configure the level of transparency in Windows 10.

At least, that’s what we’ve been hearing.

This, of course, is a version of the Technical Preview that a few select users are currently testing, and as revealed earlier today, build 10102 does come with a few 3D effects for Live Tiles.

Goes to show that Microsoft is now focusing on the user interface, as we move towards the release of the final version of Windows 10 later this summer.
