The Windows 10 taskbar already has seen a fair bit of action during the development of the new operating system, but the big question is whether Microsoft is in the mood for more tweaks.

Particularly, highly useful ones like this.

More so, when you consider that there are a lot of user requests with thousands upon thousands of votes that are yet to be implemented in the new OS — they may yet be, but for that to happen the company ought to be working on a secret new branch of builds.

Secret and highly advanced one.

Anyway, the software titan has another such call, this time asking the company to introduce a fully working Recycle Bin icon in the taskbar on Windows 10.

Not an overly complex implementation, so maybe the company will.

Here’s the request:

Quote
“Place the Recycle Bin on to the taskbar. Don’t just leave it there on the desktop to look ugly. Bring it to life. Place it on the taskbar and let us drag stuff we want to bin straight into it on the taskbar. It’s so much quicker than going to the desktop or, right clicking and deleting it. This would save so much time and really look nice and be great for windows users who want to save time!”
Power users and those that work with a lot of files daily are sure to appreciate functionality like this. No wonder than that it this request already has more than 14,000 votes.

In current versions of Windows 10 you can pin the Recycle Bin icon on the taskbar, but that does not provide the ability to drag files over that icon to remove them. Not to mention that added hassle of launching the Start Menu every time to drag the files in the first place.

Guess we’ll see where this one goes!
