The question then remains, just how early will this final version be ready?
Official details are missing right now, but chances are that we’re not very far off, just days away, quite possibly from the OS hitting this important milestone. But unofficial channels are buzzing with reports right now, with some sources even pointing to a set date.
July 9 for the RTM, it is being said.
This would allow Microsoft some 20 odd days to provide OEMs with the final version of the operating system so that the hardware companies can prepare their new devices.
In fact, some even say that the first candidate of Windows 10 RTM has actually been spotted online.
A recent update on
BuildFeed reveals a new version of the operating system — one that goes by the label of Windows 10 build 10176, which is said to be part of the th1 branch. Now this is a branch that is expected to bring us the final RTM release.
At least, according to industry reports.
If this is indeed true, then build 10176 could well be the first candidate for RTM, though we should expect Microsoft to put in a bit more work before completing this final version of the operating system.
There are plenty of unknown details right now, but all should be revealed as we get closer to launch.
