Big day for big companies! Microsoft has officially released Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise RTM, and made this version available for MSDN subscribers.
Build 10586 is labeled as 1511 here, signifying that was released on November 15.
Also signifying that it is indeed the final RTM version.
As many have speculated.
Anyway, a few points to keep in mind before you rush to download this version, though.
This release is aimed specifically at businesses and enterprises.
For starters, this is the MSDN version of the mobile OS, meaning downloaders are required to be paying subscribers to the service before they can get it. Plus, this is the enterprise version, which comes with added security and management features.
But if you’re game for it, then this is how Microsoft describes this release:
“Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise is designed to deliver the best customer experience to business customers on smartphones and small tablets. Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise offers the great productivity, security and mobile device management capabilities that Windows 10 Mobile provides, and adds flexible ways for businesses to manage updates. In addition, Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise incorporates the latest security and innovation features as soon as they are available.”
This version is only offered in English for now, but several other languages are expected to be posted on the portal very soon. It’s available for the majority of MSDN subscription levels, in case you’re curious.
Hopefully this shows that the software titan is all ready to launch the final RTM version for consumers too, as some recent reports suggest.
